Farmhouse Inn bakers make more cakes to meet demand

Greene King's Farmhouse Inns chain cake offer and service is seeing their bakers at the highest selling cake sites making over 50 sponges a day each to keep up with demand.

The band also offers it Cakeaway service which allows diners to take a slice or more home to enjoy later. In fact, some people just like to come in and grab a slice or two to share with family or friends.

Towards the end of last year, Farmhouse Inns launched its Cake-a-tier programme. It means that every one of the bakers has the title of Cake-a-tier and their own uniform, which distinguishes them from the rest of the kitchen team.

Bakers also have license to use their creativity to come up with their own flavours and looks, which has seen a Crème Egg cake being shared over 2 million times on social media.
