Red Dog Saloon set to open £1.2m Liverpool site in May

US-style barbecue eatery brand, Red Dog Saloon is to open a £1.2m branch on Bold Street in Liverpool on May 5, which is situated on the site of former nightclub Republik.

This is the company's most northerly restaurant yet, joining those in London, Nottingham and Southampton, and creating 70 jobs.

Red Dog Saloon will open with brand new meals, including brunch dishes, but will still include favourites like fat ribs, buffalo chicken wings, hickory smoked pulled pork and burgers.

For beverages, there will be an extensive range of cocktails, bottled beers, tequila and bourbon.

Brave diners will be able to take up Red Dog Saloon’s most renowned food challenge, The Devastator (pictured), made up of an 18oz chuck steak - in three patties, 200g pulled pork, six rashers of Applewood smoked bacon, and six slices of American cheese.

Red Dog Saloon opened its first site in 2011 and prides itself on the quality and provenance of its food, with no binders or fillers in its burgers. The brand only uses the best meat, flavoured with its special rub and cooked low ‘n slow for 18 hours in smokers imported from Oklahoma.
