UK chief executive, John Eckbert (pictured) also stated that the firm has further growth plans for the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Portugal.

Five Guys currently operates 59 UK eateries with 20 new UK sites planned to open this year. Around 75 sites have been identified as potential new Five Guys branches.

It's confirmed that the company will opening a new venue on the High Street in Chelmsford, Essex this summer, serving up the usual menu of burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, fries, and milkshakes.

Five Guys' typical hamburger has two freshly-cooked beef patties with two slices of American-style cheese. They are then wrapped in foil to preserve the freshness and ensure the cheese melts to the perfect consistency.
