New Wetherspoons pub set for south east Cornwall

JD Wetherspoon is set to start construction of its newest Cornish pub in Liskeard, in the south east of the county.

The development at the former Taylors Garage, on Barras Street, will start on Monday, 4 September.

The award-winning pub giant has already named the new pub, The King Doniert, which will open on 27 March 2018.

Wetherspoon's, which was founded in 1979 by Tim Martin, operates just under 1,000 outlets, including the chain of Lloyds No.1 bars and the chain of Wetherspoon hotels.

With its headquarters in Watford, Wetherspoons is known for converting unconventional premises into pubs.
