Travelodge to recruit almost 900 staff & open six new sites this year

Travelodge is looking to recruit almost 900 staff at its hotels and headquarters, and is planning six new hotels, by the end of the year.

The budget chain wants to fill positions in hotels across the country in roles ranging from receptionists and cleaners to bar cafe team members. There are 55 hotel manager and assistant manager vacancies and a further 21 at head office finance, human resources and IT departments within the total.

The recruitment drive also includes 120 employees to work at new hotels due to open before Christmas in Newcastle, Bath, Inverness, Redhill, Melksham and Harrow in London plus four maintenance engineers across the UK.

Craig Bonnar, Travelodge chief operating officer, said, 'Joining a hotel company opens the door to training, career progression and even roles in new countries.

'We have a successful in-house management development programme in place that has helped hundreds of colleagues climb the career ladder into management via an entry level position.'
