New sushi hand roll grab & go kiosk to launch in Soho

Inigo, a new sushi hand roll grab and go kiosk, will open on Great Windmill Street, Soho, on Wednesday 11 October.

Created by Australian entrepreneur Jeremy Bliss and Charlie Hall of CODE Hospitality, Inigo will bring the Japanese-inspired sushi hand roll to the streets of Soho. Inigo hand rolls combine traditions of sushi with the portability of the sandwich, finished with a quick blow-torch to deliver a delicious and fresh sushi experience.

The menu, consisting of six staple hand rolls plus rotating specials, will include traditional Japanese flavours such as the ‘Spicy Tuna’ hand roll (ponzu-marinated tuna, baby gem lettuce, spicy mayo and crushed wasabi peas) as well as unique takes on the hand roll with the ‘Poke Salmon’ (miso-cured salmon, avocado, macadamia nuts and pickled daikon).

Inigo also caters to vegetarian and vegan tastes with hand rolls such as the ‘Miso Broccoli’ (tenderstem broccoli, cucumber, pickled daikon, miso puree and chives).

Offering beautifully crafted rolls at an accessible and affordable price point, Inigo will provide the perfect lunch spot for everyone in Soho. The kiosk will also offer breakfast, salads and daily soup specials.

The drinks offering at Inigo will include a concise range of soft and alcoholic drinks, as well as in-house designed hot drinks. As an ethically-minded company, Inigo will use sustainably sourced fish from H. Forman & Son and all packaging is compostable.

Leftover food will be donated to causes assisting in the plight against food waste. Inigo is also delighted to pay all staff the London Living Wage.

Bliss commented, 'Inigo is a collaboration between friends and disciplines. Sushi hand rolls are a hugely popular meal and snack back home in Australia and we are very excited to bring them to London. The team have crafted a welcoming and beautifully designed environment that focuses on the dedication we will give to our food and customers.'

The interiors of Inigo use warm colours with modern touches, whilst retaining a strong Japanese aesthetic. The store features a beautifully crafted marble counter on a deco inspired steel counter where the hand rolls will be perfected, ready for eating.

From the interiors to the produce, Inigo is a concept formed by Hall and Bliss and an enviable team of creatives including design director Daniel Huggett (Universal, Sonos, Sony), uniform designer Leonard Bachman (McQueen, Tom Ford, Chloe) and music curation from Luke Pritchard, lead singer of The Kooks, who is also an investor in the business. Carlos Sanchez and Tom Benton, formally of 6a architects, have designed the beautiful shop.
