Pan Asian street food and cocktail chain, Bar Soba is to open a 140-cover restaurant in a former bank on Newcastle’s Collingwood Street, it's sixth site.
The award-winning group has applied for a licence with plans to open the late-night restaurant and cocktail lounge with DJ-led music, that will stay open every day until 2.30am.
Glasgow-based Bar Soba is also considering opening restaurants in Aberdeen, Liverpool and Manchester, following a £3m investment by the Business Growth Fund (BGF) in December 2016.
The company currently operates three sites in Glasgow, and singe sites in Edinburgh and Leeds.
