Crafted Projects gets go-ahead for Newcastle bar & restaurant scheme

Crafted Projects has been given the green light to begin work on a multi-million pound bar and restaurant scheme in Newcastle city centre, which will create around 150 jobs.

The development at White Hart Yard, which is larger than first planned as it now includes Kiss and Bar 24, will bring a collection of historic buildings back into use with a range of bars and restaurants.

Crafted Projects, a division of the Ladhar Group, aims to open phase one of White Hart Yard by Easter 2018.

Director Barry Ladhar said, “We have been working closely with the city council and NE1 to get what will be our flagship development absolutely right.

“White Hart Yard aims to be an aspirational and discerning all-day hangout showcasing a multi venue experience of bars, food concepts and events spaces.

“We want to create a cultural and hybrid festival venue in the heart of Newcastle that will stir up music, food and drink and as importantly discussion, focusing on the very best the north of England has to offer in street food, cocktails, music events and the pioneering craft drinks market.”
