The universal cookery and food festival

18/Sep/2018

The universal cookery and food festival was established in 2012 by three passionate chef directors representing the Craft Guild of Chefs – John Feeney, Lee Maycock and Ian Nottage.

Working in partnership with event management company McCullough Moore Ltd, this small team of chefs and young event company dared to take on the challenge of creating this one-of-a-kind event, the only trade event of this nature in the UK.

Each year the programme is designed to give everyone a taste of everything; to bring chefs, caterers, farmers, growers and suppliers all together. The aim is to break down the barriers and become stronger and better for the British Culinary future by working together as ‘chefs united’.

The past six years have included an eclectic mix of demonstrations, workshops, foraging tours, and debates which have tackled current issues, trends and forecasts for the future such as farming for chefs, health vs taste and the futuristic kitchen. The farmers markets meanwhile have been a place for international suppliers and local producers to showcase their latest culinary innovations and fresh produce.

Now in its seventh year the festival takes place at Westland Nurseries in Evesham on 18th September.
