Evelyns Table opens at The Blue Posts

Siblings Layo and Zoë Paskin, also behind The Palomar, The Barbary and Jacob The Angel, launched The Blue Posts in December and are opening parts of the four-storey building as time goes on, with the latest being an intimate basement dining area, Evelyn's Table.

There are 11 seats at the marble countertop, so diners can watch the chef at work, in the former beer cellar with two side tables seating four diners.

The modern European menu has been created by Nacho Pinilla, formerly of The Barbary, Copita and gastropub The Bull & Last.

There are around ten seasonal dishes per day on the regularly changing menu. Examples include cuttlefish ragout, made with tender, long-simmered cuttlefish; rock salt fillet of beef & bone marrow; polenta with artichokes and brussels sprouts with oyster sauce & sesame.

The restaurant also offers a separate wine list, including both producers of the moment as well as lesser-known gems from small-scale winemakers. A Bin-Ends section rounds the selection off, showcasing rarer wines, only available in tiny allocations.
