Sodexo strengthens team at Windsor Park with two new appointments

Catering, hospitality and global event management specialist, Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events, is strengthening its operation at The National Football Stadium at Windsor Park with the appointment of two new team members. Laura West joins as General Manager, while Amy Murray takes up the role of Sales Executive.

With a first-class honours degree, post graduate hospitality diploma and almost 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry in a number of leading 4 and 5 star hotels and hotel chains, West re-joins Sodexo Prestige, having previously worked at The National Football Stadium as Sales & Marketing Manager. West now has responsibility for managing the operations team, driving revenue and maximising sales across all departments.

Murray, who graduated from the University of Ulster in 2015 with a first-class honours degree in Leisure and Events Management, will also play a key role in the Windsor Park team. Having gathered a wealth of experience within the hospitality sector, including organising large scale local and international events, Murray will use her business skills to engage both the corporate and leisure markets, showcase the venue and deliver tailored events with a difference for all clients.

As the only state of the art stadium venue in Northern Ireland, The National Football Stadium at Windsor Park sits in a prime geographical location, offering locals and organisations the opportunity to host their events in an iconic setting.

Suitable for everything from awards evenings, product launches and conferences, to exhibitions, weddings and concerts, Windsor Park benefits from a wide variety of unique spaces. Four large meeting and banqueting suites offer panoramic views of the pitch, while ten corporate hospitality boxes create an ideal area for more intimate events and meetings, with the press room, dressing room and players’ lounge also available to hire.

Additional venue space is provided by the stadium’s award-winning Education & Heritage Centre, which was recently accredited with being in the top five Belfast visitor attractions by TripAdvisor.

David Trotter, Divisional Director at Sodexo Sports & Leisure, commented, “Laura and Amy will be at the helm of driving new business for Windsor Park by developing long-term client relationships, enhancing retention and ensuring optimum customer satisfaction.

“With their assistance, we look forward to opening up our venue to new audiences, showcasing how diverse the space can be – whether clients are looking for an unforgettable corporate dinner or a truly unique party venue.”

The Stadium also recently celebrated the success of its Head Chef, Fritz Machala, who collected the Contract Catering Chef of the Year award at the prestigious 2018 Institute of Hospitality Awards for Professionalism.
