Emsworth coffee bar seeks new owner

Loretta Coffee Bar, a well established coffee shop situated in the charming coastal town of Emsworth, Hampshire, has been brought to the market through Christie & Co, with an asking price of £149k for the leasehold.

Situated in a prominent position on the high street and occupying an elegant period property, Loretta Coffee Bar comprises a large trading area on the ground floor with seating for 18 covers and a further four externally.

The cosy cafe also offers a range of retail products, including greeting cards and newspapers, in addition to a diverse selection of Italian food and beverages. There is also an office space and kitchenette to the rear of the property.

The store benefits from high levels of passing trade and presents the opportunity to further increase trade by broadening the range of food and beverages offered.

Current owner Loretta Gallagher has worked hard over the years to give the cafe an authentic and welcoming Italian atmosphere. She commented, “I have loved every minute of the past 18 years running Loretta Coffee Bar and I’m very proud of everything I have accomplished, but it is now time to retire.

'I will be sorry to say goodbye to the many regulars I have got to know over the years, but I know that a new and exciting chapter lies ahead for my business with its next owner.”

Tom Glanvill, Senior Business Agent at Christie & Co’s Winchester office, who is handling the sale, said, “Loretta Coffee Bar is charming and profitable in equal measures. It’s a fabulous lifestyle business in a pleasant coastal town with huge potential and a strong and loyal customer base. Who doesn’t love a quirky independent coffee bar?”
