Burning Night leaves 2018 troubles behind with new opening

Burning Night Group, which was bought out of administration by a special purpose vehicle created by turnaround specialists, has opened the Potting Shed Bar & Gardens in Halifax.

Situated in a prominent position of the town centre, the venue, which underwent a 10-week fit out by Medlock, is split across three floors, offering covers for up to 140 guests.

Beyond its restaurant and bar, the Halifax site offers a new brand on the lower ground level. The Firepit Smokehouse & Sports Bar has 80 covers and boasts a wood-fuelled grill and smoker, serving up BBQ feasts.

Other features include an array of HD screens showcasing live sports, a shuffleboard, dart boards and pool tables.

On the roof terrace, a further 56 guests can be accommodated. This will feature an external fireplace, ‘potting shed’ seating booths and a retractable roof offering protection from the elements.

Burning Night Group went into administration in October 2018 owing £11.2m. As a buyer wasn't found, Access Commercial Finance stepped in and acquired the business.
