Bartlett Mitchell celebrates top employees

Sally Grimes, quality standards manager from Bartlett Mitchell, has been presented with the top prize at the annual ‘Foodies’ awards held in London.

Grimes, who is based in the Bartlett Mitchell support office, was named as winner of the Founders’ award for her work in ensuring the company is kept safe and compliant.

By using the company’s ‘reduce, recycle and reuse’ strategy, Grimes was also commended for ensuring Bartlett Mitchell’s health, safety and environmental standards continue to be the most recognised in the sector.

Grimes has been responsible for Bartlett Mitchell achieving many accolades from ISO 14001: environmental management, SRA 3 stars, and accreditations related to people, sustainability and ethical performance.

Grimes was joined by over 30 other winners at the prestigious ceremony, recognising team members from across the UK who have excelled in their roles.

The Foodies awards, in their third year, aim to recognise team members who have reinforced the company’s values through their day-to-day activity.

The event was attended by more than 300 team members at a Bartlett Mitchell client site in central London. Guests were treated to a champagne and canape reception developed by chef director, Pete Redman, and Bartlett Mitchell chefs who recently entered an internal streetfood competition.

The awards have formed a fundamental part of the Bartlett Mitchell culture and recognition programme. Each category recognises a team or individual who epitomise one of Bartlett Mitchell’s Foodies values. The awards are sponsored by a board director and shortlists were developed following the submission of a 100-word nomination which was reviewed by a panel made up of the CEO, HR, and executive chairman.

Wendy Bartlett, founder and executive chairman, Bartlett Mitchell, said, “We are pleased to celebrate yet another year of exciting growth – all made possible by the efforts of our brilliant team members.

“Our values have been important to us since the day we first launched the company. Whether it’s management, support functions, or frontline team members, they drive everything that we do. I’m proud of every member of the BM family and know that, whilst we have recognised all the brilliant people via these awards, there are hundreds more who are doing so much to make our clients and customers lives that little bit better every day.”
