Restaurateurs to launch new Mayfair venture this Friday

Emilia, a new wine bar and restaurant, is set to open its doors on 26 April located in Haunch of Venison Yard just off Brook Street in the heart of Mayfair.

This is the fourth project for Will Lander and Daniel Morgenthau, the pair behind Portland, Clipstone and Quality Chop House.

The restaurant is located within Bonhams’ flagship London saleroom and will be open six days a week (Monday to Saturday) for lunch and dinner.

Emilia’s inspiration comes from Emilia-Romagna, the culinary heartland of Italy and it aims to pay homage to that region and its food culture.

Upstairs is a 25-cover restaurant which can be booked for lunch and dinner whilst downstairs the walk-ins wine bar offers a shorter menu of as-it-comes dishes with over 20 wines by the glass.

Head chef from Clipstone, Stuart Andrew will now be moving to be Executive Chef of both restaurants.

The menu will offer dishes such as Diver scallops, lardo & peas, Haunch of venison, beetroot risotto & walnuts, and Wild strawberry crostata.
