Wholebake snaps up Bounce Foods

Energy bar manufacturer, Wholebake has acquired Bounce Foods, the Surrey-based snacks brand, for undisclosed terms.

Launched in 2004 by husband and wife team Paula and Andy Hannagan in Australia, Bounce Foods makes Bounce-branded breakfast bars, balls and bites.

The Bounce range can be found in Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Boots, Holland & Barrett and BP, amongst others, as well as cafes, delis and gyms. Beyond the UK, the company has offices in Australia, Canada and the US.

Simon Faithfull, CEO at Wholebake, said, 'We are really excited about the acquisition of the Bounce brand. It is a unique stand-out product in an expanding market, offering great taste and balanced nutrition to consumers, and we will be looking to invest in marketing and sales to support its growth.'

North Wales-based Wholebake manufactures gluten-free snacks in categories such as vegan, sports nutrition and toddler snacking on a contract basis. The company also owns the seed and nut bar brand Nine and the flapjack brand Brynmor. It operates from two production sites.
