Three Uncles to open first bricks & mortar site on Monday

Three Uncles, created by three chef friends, is opening on 26 August in London, offering Chinese cuisine.

Cheong Yew (Uncle Lim), Pui Sing Tsang (Uncle Sidney) and Mo Kwok (Uncle Mo) will open the new restaurant on the former Poncho 8 site in Devonshire Row, Liverpool Street, EC2, and this will be the first bricks and mortar site for the trio, having had a successful North London food stall.

The menu of Chinese roast meats, noodles and dim sum, will feature chopped-to-order Siu Mei - Char Siu or Sui Yuk pork or roast duck - accompanied by pak choi and steamed jasmine rice.

Diners can enjoy Hainan Chicken Rice, Lo Mien Noodles and a selection of Dim Sum, including Char Siu Bao, Veggie Bao and Handmade pork and prawn wontons in spicy chilli oil.

There will also be a larger selection of hot and cold grab-and-go specials.

Hot on the heels of this opening will be the second Three Uncles, which was going to be the first, in Upper Place, Holloway. This has been delayed due to an ongoing Islington council planning and licensing debate.
