The Black Pig launches at Borough Market Kitchen

The Black Pig has launched in London's new Borough Market Kitchen in SE1, just in time for the festive season.

The Black Pig has come about from a partnership with existing Borough trader Philip Crouch, who runs Italianate, a fine food business selling exclusively Italian products, and restaurateur Nick Willoughby of Street Food Union (pictured), who has successfully opened, run and supported several street food and other food-orientated businesses over a decade.

The Black Pig serves the finest Italian products, ready to eat straight from the stall in a specially created dining area. This new format to Borough allows some of the finest quality premium cured meats and other products to be enjoyed while soaking up the well renowned and exciting market vibes.

Willoughby commented, 'Products like our Black Pig Crudo Cone and The Muffuletta Sandwich are something a little bit special, and a brilliant way of showcasing our exquisite product. We hope, with this offering, will get the thousands of foodies who visit Borough, and London, monthly excited.

“We are incredibly excited to launch The Black Pig as part of Boroughs new offering. Philip has been selling his delicious products on the market for years but until now people have had to buy and enjoy at home.

'We hope having The Black Pig will not only allow people to try the best of Italian artisan products when they vitis the market, but might also encourage them to then visit Italianate, to buy the products we use and be able to recreate at home.”

The Black Pig is open from Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm.
