StampAid launches to help indIE coffee shops through downturn

Loyalty app creator, Stampapp has launched StampAid, a free app designed to help independent coffee shops and coffee retailers survive the drop in trade as a result of the Covid19 outbreak.

Through the app, already adopted by independent chain operator Camden Coffee, customers looking to support their local can bulk buy coffees or other products at a discounted rate (e.g. 10 coffees for £25), to redeem once shops re-open and regulars return by scanning a code from the app.

Thomas Messett, founder of Stampapp and now, StampAid, said, “We’re all being encouraged to buy restaurant vouchers to help them during and after this incredibly challenging time, but so many small coffee joints and independent cafes just aren’t set up with those kinds of systems.

'We have so many Stampapp coffee shop customers who are already struggling as a result of social distancing and self isolation measures keeping customers away, so we came up with StampAid as a way to help them see this through.”

Available free on Google Play and the App Store, all purchases made through StampAid will be paid through to businesses within 7 days, helping maintain their cash-flow at a time of unprecedented disruption for independent high street retailers
