Roberto Costa, the founder of Macellaio RC, the artisan Italian steak restaurant group, is set to launch CasaCosta, a brand new, bespoke delivery service bringing the quintessential Italian kitchen, larder and butcher
The service, which will last next month, will deliver to the homes of West London, Chelsea, Fulham, South Kensington and Battersea.
Costa is passionate about showcasing the very best ingredients from his home country, hand-selecting items from trusted producers. Through years in the industry, Costa has developed close relationships with those producers in Italy that supply the culinary world with some of the finest ingredients, essential to any kitchen.
Now, he is turning his attention to home delivery, maintaining the highest quality by using the very latest technology in packaging and transportation with Woolcool, an environmentally sustainable, thermally insulated food packaging that can be re-used and recycled while guaranteeing quality and freshness.
Costa said, “I am so passionate about this project, I put my face on the logo and used my name as a quality guarantee! This is about bringing some of my favourite products from my home country of Italy to London, where I live now with my family. These are ingredients that I use in my own kitchen every day that represent everything delicious and unique about Italy, and that I couldn’t live without!”
Directly sourced from producers, CasaCosta showcases products essential for any Italian food lover, all selected personally by Costa himself and some available exclusively through the site. True to form, the butchery will feature cuts of the renowned Fassona beef, championed by Costa throughout his career, along with quality chicken, lamb and sausages.
The Italian larder is packed full of charcuterie, fresh bread, pasta and sauces with a range of essentials such as eggs, flour, bacon, balsamic, cheese and dairy products plus a selection of fruits and vegetables.
