Oakman assists Government with video to help pubs to reopen safely

A public information film, produced by the Government with the assistance of Oakman Inns, has been launched to help operators reopen as safely as possible.

Only ten days ago, Oakman’s Chief Operating Officer Dermot King had criticised the Government for lack of clarity and direction for pub reopenings.

The video was shot at Oakman's The Betsey Wynne in Swanbourne, Buckinghamshire (pictured). It previously seated 204 customers, and will now only be able to offer 146 seats due the reconfiguration, which enables social distancing.

Oakman Inns, which is led by Peter Borg-Neal, is all set to reopen its entire estate of 28 pubs tomorrow. The group has prepared the pubs with safety measures and protocols such as screens between tables, reduced capacity, one-way systems through the premises and disposable menus.
