Renowned restaurateur to launch multi-experiential space in January

Chameleon, a new multi-experiential space set in one of London’s most dramatic venues; the Grade I listed, One Marylebone, is aunching on 15 January.

Chameleon will offer a Tel Avivian sharing-style outdoor restaurant and cosy tented lounge. Other experiences include silent cinema, magical wellness sessions, a futuristic fitness experience, Cha Cha Cha dance classes, a rotating art installation gallery and in the vaults a collaboration of brands, influencers and creatives hosting their own boutique stores.

Later in the year at Chameleon, the Club, a private members space will open under the church.

Alex Ghalleb, the renowned restaurateur, ex-Managing Partner of Gold in Notting Hill, previously Operations Director at Grind and also General Manager at Soho House, is the driving force behind this impressive development.

Ghalleb exclaimed, “We’re so excited to be bringing something new to London. Chameleon is a space that offers a vibrant assortment of experiences, all to be enjoyed under one roof.”

Nine beautifully-lit and styled greenhouses will feature on the east-side exterior of the historic One Marylebone building. A London first, the greenhouses will offer seated tables of up to 30 and will act as the main restaurant within the venue.

Critically-acclaimed Israeli Chef, Elior Balbul will be flying over from Tel Aviv to head up the kitchen, and offer guests an array of exquisite Tel Avivian gastro sharing plates.

The menu will include dishes such as Yemen brioche challah, deconstructed falafel, aubergine carpaccio, shrimp shish Barak, Morrocan octopus and charcoal-grilled lamb sirloin with cabbage gratin. Accompanied by the Chameleon signature cocktail, The Rimon, a freshly squeezed pomegranate margarita with a twist.

The greenhouses at Chameleon will evolve per season with each individual greenhouse offering a slightly different design element. Starting with warm, cosy winter decor on opening in January, the greenhouses will then transform to a bright, floral garden in the Spring, before changing to tropical-style beach club vibes for the Summer season.

On the west side of the building’s exterior, guests will find themselves in a glamorously-designed tented lounge in the Garden. This area will offer the same aesthetics as the greenhouses, but the focus will be on high quality cocktails and mezze plates created by Balbul’s team.

Think private booths for up to six, glass-covered fireplaces, all to be enjoyed in an ultra luxe and laid back setting. Guests can also sit back and enjoy regular entertainment from the master of ceremonies, introducing incredible acts and special live performances in the evening.

On Sundays, the Garden will host silent cinema nights with wireless headphones, blankets, popcorn and drinks.

To enter The Garden, guests will need to pass through an adjoining door adorned with beautiful floristry which takes guests through to Chameleon’s very own flower shop.

Within the courtyard, Chameleon will host a weekend market, opening on 16th January from 10am - 4pm. Expect a colourful array of food and drink stalls where Londoners can discover unique and independent brands.

Visitors can grab a coffee from Chameleon Cafe which will offer their own delicious blend, including Turmeric Golden milk lattes. The soundtrack will be provided by Chameleon’s resident musicians and singers.

The Soane at Chameleon will be a revolving space that resides on the ground floor within the One Marylebone building. It will showcase different concepts, starting with magical wellness sessions in collaboration with Xscape Studio.

Another fun addition is the Dance experience, each week two ballroom dance champions will host Cha Cha Cha classes on the Monday evenings.

The stunning gallery space within One Marylebone will showcase art installations plus new and emerging talent within the art world, as well as takeovers from unmissable world class artists.

Come the summer next year, a 500 capacity private members club will be built under the church. The club will consist of an open plan restaurant and all-day cocktail bar, private dining rooms which can be opened up to create one space, immersive art and nightclub.
