Grosvenor has announced an exclusive new festive pop-up at Liverpool One shopping complex. Launched by The Bitter Twisted Drinks Company, in collaboration with Sipsmith Gin, Lowlander and local traders Black Lodge, the pop-up offers specialist festive spirits, beers and bespoke drinks gifts for visitors.
Located on Peter’s Lane, the bespoke 1,700 sq ft pop-up shop has created 20 new jobs for the local community, and aims to bridge the gap between hospitality and retail as both sectors re-open across the destination this week.
The Bitter Twisted Drinks Company shop will be open for the whole of December and houses a range of drink-related Christmas gifts for the ‘sippers’ of the city, including luxury home cocktail kits, impressive liquors, ‘pick’n’mix’ stocking fillers, along with a bespoke gift-wrapping service.
Based in Knutsford, brand activation specialist and creative hospitality operator Bitter Twisted works with a variety of brands to create, deliver and manage unique concepts and consumer experiences in prime destionations across the UK.
At the Liverpool One pop-up shop, signature and bespoke products from the collaborating brands have been created with the Christmas theme in mind:
· Black Lodge, the Liverpool-based small-batch brewery, has its ‘Christmas Pudding Porter’ on offer, amongst some of its most popular quirky ales and IPAs
· Microdistillery Sipsmith’s cocktail equipment and glassware, a ‘Build Your Own Gin Stocking’ and the brand’s limited-edition Mince Pie Gin
· Lowlander’s botanical beer collection, including the Lowlander Winter IPA, which is brewed with spruce needles, hand-picked from discarded Christmas trees
Alison Clegg, Director, Asset Management, Grosvenor Europe, said, “Following the success of The Chavasse Project installation earlier this year, we are delighted to once again work with Bitter Twisted to host a unique and locally-focused experience for visitors.
'While Christmas will feel a little bit different this year, initiatives like this pop-up drinks shop, and our iconic lights will ensure there is a festive atmosphere at the destination for all to enjoy.”
Neil Gazzard, General Manager at Bitter Twisted, commented, “Bitter Twisted are delighted to be able to work with these fabulous brands. Sipsmith is a premium manufacturer of gin, with a superb Christmas gifting range, and Lowlander Brewery is a true innovator, with their use of Botanicals infusions.
'We’re also proud to showcase a local brewery in Black Lodge, who produce delicious beer mere miles away from the shop in Liverpool One.”
The opening coincides with the illumination of Liverpool One’s iconic Christmas lights, which have been captured on film, in a bid to support the local area and deliver festive cheer to those who may be unable to visit during the Christmas period.
In line with the government’s latest national Covid-19 advice, Liverpool One is maintaining its strict health and safety measures to protect restaurant visitors and staff, while simultaneously supporting its portfolio of operators.
