Bocca di Lupo to launch series of picnic feasts next week

On Monday 8th March, much-loved Soho restaurant Bocca di Lupo will introduce the first of a series of picnic feasts, providing a perfect way to enjoy the easing of lockdown and the opportunity to meet a friend outdoors.

Offered through its dedicated delivery service, Bocca di Lupo At Home, the picnic feasts will be delivered to doorsteps across London, arriving in time for lunch and containing all of the essential ingredients for an Italian al fresco experience.

In keeping with Bocca di Lupo’s ‘In Viaggio Regionale’, the series of monthly changing at-home menus taking diners on a journey around the twenty regions of Italy. The picnic feasts will showcase the true diversity of Italian cuisine, with dishes and produce greatly inspired by founder Jacob Kenedy’s own travels across the country.

Delivered nicely chilled, the feasts are ready to grab and take to the nearest park, stuffed with a generous selection of classic Italian snacks and plates, a bottle of Gelupo’s very own Prosecco, mineral water, and eco-friendly cutlery, glasses and napkins.

Picnickers can expect to start with wafer-thin Pane Carasau (Sardinian flatbreads) served with a Pecorino cream for dipping and a jar of wild green and black olives. Alongside this will be freshly sliced Prosciutto di San Daniele, Tuscan salami and a hearty portion of smoked ricotta with grilled aubergines marinated with roast tomatoes, chilli and mint.

No lunch would be complete without dessert and picnics are no different so, to finish, the box will also include Bocca di Lupo’s house-made marbled ricotta and chocolate cake, as well as a pair of chilled blood oranges to give a little celebratory zest.

Kenedy said, “We are all so very much looking forward to the end of this lockdown, and excited about the opportunity to meet one another outdoors. There is no better way to enjoy one another’s company than over plates of good food and with good wine.

'We hope to give you the chance to have both, and so created the perfect Italian picnic for you to enjoy outside. The only thing we can’t guarantee is the weather!”
