Tim Hortons to open first site in South West

Iconic Canadian restaurant brand, Tim Hortons has today announced it will be making moves to the South West of England for the first time, opening a restaurant and drive-thru in Gloucester.

The brand famed for its signature coffee, delicious doghnuts and Canadian charm, plans to open its doors to the local community later in the year.

Located at Eastern Avenue Retail Park, next to one of the main arterial routes into the city centre, the new site is set to create up to 50 jobs for the local community, offering a combination of full-time and part-time roles with impressive progression and training opportunities.

The announcement also forms part of the brands plan to create over 2,000 jobs across the country, bringing Tim Hortons restaurants to every major town and city by 2022.

The new restaurant will offer dine-in seating for up to 94 guests, with additional external seating available, as well as its renowned drive-thru service for those on-the-go. Delivery options will also be made available to those in the local area following the launch.

Customers can expect Canada’s favourite coffee, freshly baked doghnuts and Timbits around the clock, as well as delicious breakfast, lunch and evening meal options, including hot sandwiches and wraps.

Known for its impressive opening giveaways, locals and avid fans in Harlow are encouraged to keep their eyes peeled and follow the Tim Hortons Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages for more news.

Kevin Hydes, Chief Commercial Officer of Tim Hortons franchise in the UK, commented, “We already have a huge fan base in the South West of England, so are particularly excited to be bringing Tim Hortons to Gloucester for the first time. It is in a fantastic location and we are expecting a lot of interest from the surrounding areas, so it is a great start to our expansion in the West Country.

“We are proud to be investing in the local community and know that there is a wealth of talent, so we will be looking to recruit a variety of full and part-time roles very soon. We encourage local fans of Tim Hortons to keep an eye out for more news as we develop our plans.”
