Lina Stores to open 5th London restaurant in June

Lina Stores is set to open a new restaurant on Monday 20 June, which is situated in W1 on the corner of Marylebone Lane and Wigmore Street, at the entrance to Marylebone Village.

The new location will continue the legacy of Lina Stores, which has been serving Londoners with the best Italian ingredients and products since 1944, and will feature an all-day dining restaurant, delicatessen and bar.

The ground-floor of Lina Stores Marylebone will feature an all-day restaurant with an open-theatre kitchen. Devised by Head Chef Masha Rener, the menu will include signature antipasti, celebrating the finest delicatessen ingredients, along with much-loved Lina Stores signature dishes.

The restaurant will continue to focus on handmade, fresh pasta, and will feature new dishes like gomiti, peas, guanciale and Pecorino Romano, or saffron linguine, with anchovies, datterini tomatoes and pangrattato. Diners will also be able to choose from sharing dishes of Zuppa di Pesce, Veal Cotoletta alla Milanese and whole plaice with fennel, green olives, lemon and capers.

For dessert there will be pistachio cream-filled bignè and a sharing bowl of Zuppa Inglese with layers of summer berries, Savoiardi biscotti, vanilla zabaione and Alchermes.

Adjacent to the ground-floor dining room will be the open-plan delicatessen, reminiscent of the original Lina Stores on Brewer Street. Perfect for anyone wanting a quick snack or lunch on the move, the Marylebone delicatessen will offer an extended variety of dishes to eat in or take away.

New salads will include fusilli with artichoke, mushroom and semi-secchi tomato; Panzanella with sourdough and toasted buckwheat, and grilled courgette salad with toasted hazelnuts and salsa verde.

Along with freshly made panini and baked Pasta al Forno will be a selection of Parigina, a new addition exclusive to Marylebone and a firm Neapolitan lunch favourite, which is stuffed with fillings straight from the deli counter, including tender Sicilian artichokes, spinach and ricotta, or prosciutto cotto with seasonal mushrooms.

For breakfast or a sweet treat in the afternoon, strong Italian coffee can be enjoyed with freshly baked goods, pasticcini and dolci, including Lina Stores favourites, Sicilian Cannoli and Baci brownies.

The signature pistachio green shelves will be stocked with the very best Italian pantry essentials including Sicilian extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar from Modena and traditional biscotti inspired by regional Italy.

By night, the delicatessen will transform into a seated wine bar, serving Lina Stores renowned antipasti, including freshly sliced cured meats, formaggi and sharing platters, alongside a selection of Italian wines and Lina Stores classic aperitivi.

On the lower-ground floor, the restaurant continues, offering a more intimate setting where cocktails, aperitivi and amari will be served from the feature art-déco bar topped with striking oxblood marble.

Masha Rener, Head Chef of Lina Stores, said, “We are delighted to open in Marylebone this summer. With its neighbourhood feel and strong sense of local community, Marylebone Village is the perfect location for us to open both a restaurant and delicatessen for the full Lina Stores experience.'
