Warwickshire pub to reopen this weekend under new ownership


A traditional 18th Century country pub, located in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside, is set to reopen with new owners at the helm.

Felan and Laura Hennigan have taking over The Golden Cross will be opening the doors of the much-loved Wells & Co pub to the locals of Alcester this weekend.

The Golden Cross will continue serving delicious food, made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients and will still boast the offer of two main meals for £18.

There will be a slight shakeup to the drinks menu, introducing award-winning beers from our brewery in Bedford, Brewpoint. The reopening of the pub will see the likes of Checkpoint, On Point and Midpoint on draught, as well as Wells & Co's latest seasonal ale on offer.

Felan and Laura, who also own the catering company Gourmet Pop Up, said, “We feel privileged to have this new challenge in conjunction with Wells & Co. and are looking forward to bringing our expertise in the hospitality trade to this great country pub.

'We endeavour to continue the tradition of locally sourced produce, great drink and attentive service at The Golden Cross and intend to make it the focal point of the community once again.”
