New Forest hotel set to reopen this month after multi-million pound refurb

A Lymington hotel that has recently undergone a multi-million-pound refurbishment has officially announced its reopening date after months of eagerly anticipated excitement for the local community.

Stanwell House, a privately owned boutique hotel situated in the centre of Lymington, is finally reopening on Friday 16 December as its extensive refurbishment comes to completion.

The first guests to the hotel, who will be able to book one of the 27 boutique rooms from this Thursday, 1 December, will experience interiors filled with personality and unique touches, showcasing luxury soft furnishings, carefully considered features and modern amenities – creating the ultimate home-from-home environment.

Three new dining options are available at the hotel, aiming to cater for a variety of occasions, from an exquisite, fine dining experience to more casual, comforting dishes – all served with the same quality of service.

The Samphire Restaurant focuses predominantly on seafood, reflecting the very best in quality ingredients, being perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. It promises attentive service, sumptuous décor and great food.

The Salt Bar is open to all, with direct High Street access welcoming non-resident and resident guests alike, appealing to those looking for a light bite or a casual feast after a busy day. The menu offers a great selection of family favourites and comforting, seasonal dishes with an added touch of Stanwell sophistication, using only the highest quality ingredients.

The Orangery is flooded with light and is alive with colour. What used to be known as ‘The
Conservatory’ now features a stylish cocktail bar, making The Orangery the ideal place to
meet with friends for a spot of lunch, afternoon tea or something from the new Champagne
and Oyster menu.

Lance Bartlett, General Manager, said, “We’re really excited to be opening our doors and welcoming back guests to the hotel. This is the result of months of hard work for so many people and the last thing we wanted to do was to rush it and not have everything perfect for opening.

“We appreciate everyone’s patience and it has been great to see how many people are anticipating our reopening. We finally have a date to welcome people back and we can’t wait for our guests to experience all the hard work and money that has gone into making the hotel a luxury boutique for everyone to enjoy.

'We want to give a special thanks to the local Lymington community, who through these many months have been so supportive – we can’t wait to give back to them through our trademark Stanwell experience.”
