Chef Tom Sellers to open Story Cellar in March

Two Michelin-starred chef, Tom Sellers is set to unveil his new restaurant, Story Cellar, this March in Seven Dials, London West End.

The 1,700 sq ft unit will be a Parisian-inspired rotisserie style restaurant, located in the iconic Neal’s Yard, and will feature counter dining and rotisserie chicken alongside a menu of house cured charcuterie and classic dishes, interpreted by Tom. Story Cellar will also have an expansive wine programme.

Located at 17 Neal’s Yard, Story Cellar will be a continuation of Tom’s first restaurant, Restaurant Story, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Tom will be joined in the kitchen by Head Chef Stephen Naylor, who has worked as Sous Chef at Restaurant Story for the past four years.

The menu at Story Cellar will comprise rotisserie chicken as well as a classic house terrine and daily changing grill and fish of the day. The new concept will be designed with its West End location in mind, offering rare and exceptional wines by the glass, along with a variety of small plates and charcuterie to suit the needs of the theatre-going diner.

Providing an intimate dining space with 50 covers, Story Cellar will feature counter-style seating at street level and further seating downstairs for larger groups or private dining, alongside an expansive walk-in wine cellar.

The walk-in cellar will allow guests to store their own personal collections at the restaurant, cared for by a world-class sommelier team, which will offer patrons a bespoke monogrammed wine list when dining.

Julia Wilkinson, Restaurant Director at Shaftesbury which owns the area, commented, “It is a proud moment for us to announce that such a well-established and renowned chef like Tom Sellers has selected Seven Dials for his new restaurant location.

'We are very excited to welcome the new dining concept to the neighbourhood, and its innovative and forward-thinking dining experience promises to perfectly match the iconic Neal’s Yard location.

'The addition will hugely contribute to the ever-evolving F&B offering at Seven Dials, bolstering the neighbourhood’s reputation as a hub for unique and diverse operators in London’s West End.”

Story Cellar will join Seven Dials’ eclectic culinary offering, including the new location of London’s first build your own cevicheria restaurant, Crudo Cevicheria.

The two new dining concepts will add to the neighbourhood’s carefully curated selection of tenants, including WatchHouse café and boutique gelateria Anita, both of which opened in 2022, as well as a diverse line-up of traders at Seven Dials Market, which celebrated its 3-year anniversary last year.
