A new study has revealed that one in twenty working Brits enjoy a drink with lunch most days, while 32 percent have a lunchtime tipple on a regular basis.

And according to the survey, those aged 18 to 29 are most likely to indulge over any other age group, with as many as 40 percent of under thirties enjoying regular boozy work lunches.

The study also revealed regional differences, with Londoners emerging as the biggest lunchtime boozers (53 percent enjoy a drink with lunch regularly, compared to a national average of 32 percent).

Second on the liquid lunch list was Sheffield, where 39 percent of residents like a tipple at lunchtime, and in third place was Birmingham (35 percent).

Cardiff (32 percent), Glasgow (32 percent), Plymouth (31 percent) and Brighton (31 percent) were also on the list.

The study found that the most abstemious city was Norwich, where only 19 percent of the population enjoy alcohol with their lunch.
