Sodexo UK & Ireland has secured a three-year contract extension with Swizzels Matlow, makers of Drumsticks, Squashies and Love Hearts.
The contract with the family-run confectionery factory is estimated to be worth approximately £1m.
The menu features sandwiches, salads, jacket potatoes and soups, with some dishes made using ingredients from the company’s WasteWatch programme.

Compass Group has reported another year of profit growth, driven in part by its acquisitions of smaller European competitors.
The world’s largest contract caterer said operating profit climbed nearly 12% in 2025, reaching $3.3 billion (£2.5 billion), while revenue increased 9.7% to $46.1 billion (£35 billion).
Compass Group’s net new business growth reached 4.5%, powered by a particularly strong performance in North America.
The company expects operating profits to climb a further 10% in 2026.

The South West caterer Fosters Events has extended four important contracts with its leading commercial partners.
These include a two-year extension with Westonbirt, the National Arboretum in Gloucestershire, where Fosters reports an 80% sales increase since starting the partnership in 2021, and another two-year extension with Aerospace Bristol, where the caterer has hosted events for more than 1,000 guests.
The Bristol Zoo Project has extended its contract with Fosters from three to five years following strong performance.

Company of Cooks and the Royal Opera House have agreed to extend their partnership for another five years.
The renewal, valued at £130 million over the contract term, was awarded to Company of Cooks without a tender process.
Company of Cooks, part of the CH&Co group, will continue to run the Royal Opera House’s bars, restaurants and cafés, and will also manage its collaboration with chef Angela Hartnett.

Healthcare food company Anglia Crown, which has been operating under the BonCulina brand, has been placed into administration this week.
Colchester-based Anglia Crown was acquired by international foodservice brand BonCulina in May 2023, with the Anglia Crown name subsequently phased out.
The company supplied meals to more than 100 hospitals and employed around 170 staff across its Colchester headquarters and a smaller depot in Preston.

Impact Food Group (IFG), a leading education caterer, has acquired family-run school catering company Dolce, further expanding its presence across the UK.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but together the companies will serve approximately one million students across more than 1,500 schools each day.
Dolce will continue to operate as a standalone brand within Impact Food Group (IFG), which also owns Cucina, Innovate, Hutchinson, and Chapter One, and reports a 97% contract retention rate.

The Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) has appointed Aramark UK as its new food, beverage, and hospitality partner at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.
The multi-million-pound, long-term agreement will begin in mid-December, following the Quilter Nations Series, and will be in place ahead of the 2026 Guinness Six Nations and the summer concert season.
The current foodservice provider, Compass Group UK and Ireland, has managed the stadium’s catering contract since its opening as the Millennium Stadium in 1999.

Mitie has secured a new £11.8 million facilities management (FM) contract with Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT).
The contract, encompassing patient dining, cleaning, and waste management services, will cover King George Hospital along with four additional sites: Fanshawe Health Centre, Bates Industrial Estate, South Street, and Lyon Road.

B Corp caterer Houston & Hawkes has been selected to deliver workplace dining services for UK-based litigation law firm Stewarts.
Under the five-year agreement, Houston & Hawkes will cater to over 450 employees through a staff café, fine dining, hospitality, and events and reception services, featuring menus centered on fresh, seasonal ingredients.

French catering giant Sodexo has reported modest growth for the financial year ending 31 August 2025.
Total revenue increased by 1.2% year-on-year to €24.1 billion, supported by 3.3% organic growth, though this was partially offset by a -1.8% currency impact and a -0.3% effect from acquisitions and disposals.
The 3.3% organic revenue increase was largely driven by pricing, which contributed nearly 3%, alongside a modest boost from volume growth and net new business.

Workplace caterer Eurest has secured a contract to provide catering and hospitality services at the Moderna Innovation and Technology Centre (MITC) in Oxfordshire.
Under the agreement, the Compass Group-owned business and industry specialist will deliver breakfast and lunch for Moderna’s 150 employees, as well as offer 24-hour self-service options for manufacturing staff.
