Brend Hotels is to invest £2m to modernise the 40-bed Park Hotel in Barnstaple, Devon.
The plans for the hotel include a new Brasserie Restaurant, a conference room, terrace lounge and fitness suite.
The project will also add ten additional bedrooms and five suites. The bedrooms will be refurbished and equipped with new 40inch Smart TVs and high-speed wi-fi connections.
Park Hotel will remain open throughout the development work. The new bedrooms will be open by summer 2016 with the project due to complete by the end of 2016.
Park Hotel in Barnstaple is one of 11 West Country hotels owned and operated by Brend Hotels.
