London Thai cafe group Rosa’s has secured its seventh London site on Wilton Street in Victoria and has also announced the appointment of a new property and development consultant and an operations manager.
The new site will open in a 1,300 sq ft unit towards the end of the year but will not become a permanent site until the New Year after it undergoes an extensive refurbishment. In the meantime it will operate as pop-up cafe Laos.
Rosa’s new operations manager is set to be Ed Francis who has spent six years with Soho House Group and a further 3 years working in some of London best restaurant and bar venues. Elsewhere, new property and development consultant will be Stephen Evans, previously development director at Gourmet Burger Kitchen.
Founder Alex Moore, who owns the company alongside his wife Saiphin said: Alex said: 'There is a growing appetite in the UK for more adventurous cuisines – with Southeast Asian cuisine and Thai in particular set to see the strongest growth in the branded restaurant market segment. The new additions to the team will help us take the business through its next stage of growth, which may even involve bringing an experienced industry investor on-board to accelerate our roll-out.”
Rosa’s opened its first site in Spitalfields in 2008 and now has sites in Soho, Westfield, Carnaby Street, Angel and Chelsea.
