Jamies Italian sees rise in annual figures


Casual dining chain, Jamie's Italian has posted annual results for the 53 week period ending 4 January 2015, showing turnover of £106.9m, and pre-tax profits of £3.9m.

The figures are up on like-for-likes for the previous year which stood at £101.8m along with pre-tax profits of £5.6m.

EBITDA, adjusted to exclude new restaurant pre-opening costs, was £12.3m, an increase of 0.3% on the same pro-forma 52 weeks of the previous year.

During the period, the brand opened in Piccadilly, Newcastle and Harrogate, along with a second Jamie's Italian Trattoria in Chelmsford.

Following the year end, further new outlets were launched in Exeter and London Bridge with an additional Trattoria planned for Tunbridge Wells.

The company partnered with concession operator SSP for airport outlet expansion during the year.

International restaurant numbers were taken to 13, with new launches are planned for India, South Africa, Netherlands and Germany, and on the Royal Caribbean Quantum of the Seas cruise ship.

Jamie’s Italian, which has been valued at more than £150m, currently operates 42 branches across the UK.
