Rhubarb wins £60m Goodwood Estate catering deal

Event catering firm, Rhubarb has been awarded a major new contract with the Goodwood Estate, said to be worth around £60m, which is due to start 16 March 2016.

Rhubarb will offer Goodwood an emphasis on quintessentially English dishes using local produce from the Goodwood Farm wherever possible.

Goodwood attracts over 800 thousand visitors a year; these include Members Meeting, Goodwood Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival (pictured) and the 19 days of racing that include Qatar Goodwood Festival.

Lord March of Goodwood commented, “We chose Rhubarb as I felt the passion for what they do, their attention to detail and their people really set them apart from the competition.

“I am excited by the fresh ideas they can bring to our key events and the support they will provide in moving the overall experience forward.”

PB Jacobse, Rhubarb's managing director, added, “We are incredibly proud to have been chosen by Goodwood and to be a part of the world’s leading sporting Estate.

“This win is a real credit to Rhubarb and testament to the work we do every day across our portfolio. We look forward to working with the Goodwood team and to bringing a touch of rhubarb magic to this historical estate.’
