Le Bistrot Pierre is to create 50 jobs at a new restaurant due to open in Newport next month, as part of the new £90m Friars Walk development.
The company has invested £90k in the new premises and, with outdoor seating, it will seat more than 170 people.
Friars Walk will officially open its doors on November 12 and it is estimated that it will create more than 1,200 jobs.
Le Bistrot Pierre is one of 14 restaurants set to open in the 390,000 sq ft development.
