Frasers Hospitality UK acquires four hotels from Swire Hotels


Frasers Hospitality, the owner of the Malmaison and Hotel du Vin brands has purchased four properties in the UK, including Brighton’s Hotel Seattle (pictured) for £36.1m from Hong-Kong based Swire Properties Hotels Holdings.

The hotels are located in key cities and universities town and will all be rebranded to Malmaison and Hotel du Vin properties, bringing the total of boutique hotels under the brands to 33 and the total number of keys to 2,347. They will however continue to operate under their existing names until 2016 when development plans will be revealed for each of the hotels.

The hotels are: Chapter hotels in Cheltenham and Exeter, the Avon Gorge Hotel in Bristol and Hotel Seattle in Brighton.

Frasers Hospitality UK is a subsidiary of Singapore-based property firm Frasers Centrepoint Limited, which acquired Malmaison and Hotel du Vin in June for £363.4m
