Polpo opens at Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge

Polpo has opened at Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge on the fifth floor offering small plates and spritz.

Embodying the zeitgeist for speciality eateries, Polpo strips the concept back to an un-frenzied dining experience. The Venetians called it a ‘bàcaro’, meaning a humble restaurant serving simple food and good, young local wines.

Diners can enjoy an array of simple but delicious offerings from the region of Veneto, including fig and prosciutto crostini; cod cheeks with lentils and salsa verde; deep fried polenta-crusted meatballs; and sliced flank steak with porcini.

Meals can be partner with Aperol or Campari, Negronis or Bellinis, or an offering from the exclusively Italian wine list such as Polpo’s own label Garganega or Corvina.

Polpo, founded by Richard Beatty and Russell Norman, is to open at Harvey Nichols Leeds on 26 February.
