Bills applies for Canterbury restaurant site

National casual dining chain, Bill’s is planning to open a new eatery in the centre of Canterbury.

The group has made an application for the 150-seat restaurant across two floors in Rose Lane, formerly the site of Mappin and Webb jewellers.

The proposed restaurant will open from 8am to midnight from Monday to Saturday and 9am to 11pm on Sunday.

If plans are approved, Bill's restaurant will follow close behind a number of other national chains that have opened in Canterbury, including Ed's Diner, and Gourmet Burger Kitchen.

Bill's currently operates around 19 restaurants in London and 67 in total across the country.
