Medlock FRB celebrates pub-restaurant project deals worth £5.6m


Construction and fit out firm, Medlock FRB has won projects worth £5.6m with national chains, including its first for Mitchells & Butlers, Britain’s largest managed pub and restaurant firm.

The contract with Mitchells & Butlers sees Medlock converting a former Ma Potters unit at the intu Trafford Centre into an All Bar One venue, which is situated on the upper floor of The Orient food court. The firm is due to complete the strip-out and refit this month.

Medlock has also secured contracts to build three Farmhouse Inn restaurants for Greene King, and to transform two pubs for Enterprise Inns. The Farmhouse Inn sites are at Birkenshaw near Bradford, in South Yorkshire’s Dearne Valley and at Hanley in The Potteries.

A refurbishment of The Bridge Inn, a tenanted Greene King pub in the Derbyshire village of Calver, begins this month.

Medlock has started a project for Enterprise Inns to convert the former Black Bull pub at Brigg in North Lincolnshire into a Dexters Alehouse and Kitchen venue, and later this month will refurbish The Great Western pub in Acocks Green, Birmingham.
