The award-winning Inn Collection Group is creating 35 jobs at its new purpose-built The Commissioners Quay Inn at Blyth in Northumberland - its sixth site, which opens in July ahead of the arrival of the Tall Ships Race in August.
Recruitment is now starting for the key roles of head chef, head housekeeper and assistant managers at the inn, which enjoys stunning sea views from its vantage point on the quayside. Further full and part time positions will also be created for front of house, bar, housekeeping, maintenance and kitchen staff.
The Commissioners Quay Inn, which is being built by Arch, The Northumberland Development Company, has four floors with 40 bedrooms and large bar and dining areas, is the newest addition to The Inn Collection Group. The expanding hospitality and leisure specialist is the biggest private bedroom provider in Northumberland with more than 200 bedrooms across its North East estate.

The Commissioners Quay Inn takes the group’s tally of Northumberland sites to four. These include North East Tourism Pub of the Year, The Bamburgh Castle Inn in Seahouses, The Lindisfarne Inn at Beal and The Hog’s Head Inn at Alnwick.
The Seaton Lane Inn near Sunderland, The King’s Head Inn at Newton under Roseberry and the newly acquired The Kingslodge Inn in Durham – the group’s first city-centre site – complete its portfolio.
The Inn Collection Group was a finalist in the Best Accommodation Operator category in this year’s Publican Awards – the industry’s equivalent to the Oscars – and was also named as Best Leisure Business in The Northumberland Business Awards in 2015.
In keeping with the firm's model, The Commissioners Quay Inn will be open 365 days a year providing value-for-money accommodation, quality drinks including local real ales and serve homemade pub food from breakfast until 9pm.
