Flemings Mayfair General Manager Henrik Muehle has announce the hand-picked, Michelin-starred team joining Executive Chef Shaun Rankin for the opening of Ormer Mayfair, within the luxury boutique hotel, this September.

Head Chef - Kerth Gumbs
Acting as Rankin’s right hand man in the Ormer Mayfair kitchen will be Kerth Gumbs (pictured), who joins from Dover Street hotspot, The Arts Club, where he managed a brigade of over 30 chefs. Prior to this, Gumbs spent two years with Jason Atherton overseas as Chef de Cuisine and has also held cheffing positions at The Wolseley, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon and Tom Aikens.

Restaurant Manager - Agnieszka Josko

Josko returns to work with Chef Shaun Rankin, having developed her passion for food and service as a Commis Waitress at his Michelin-starred Jersey restaurant, Bohemia, in 2004.

Head Sommelier - Andreas Rosendal
Rosendal recently held the Head Sommelier position at Michelin-starred Brasserie Chavot, where his wine list was awarded “2 Stars” by The World of Fine Wine Magazine in 2015. Prior to this, he was Assistant Head Sommelier for two years at the two-star Restaurant Sat Bains. He also looked after the UK’s largest wine list at the Michelin-starred restaurant, The Greenhouse, with 3,600 bins.

General Manager of Flemings Mayfair, Henrik Muehle said, “Shaun Rankin and I have worked closely together to select the very best possible team for Ormer Mayfair. Having overseen Seven Park Place at St James’s Hotel and Club and Eric Chavot when he was at The Capital Hotel London, I know how vital it is to get the right team in place from the very start. With Shaun, Kerth, Agnieszka and Andreas, we have a super talented brigade all working to establish Ormer Mayfair as one of London finest restaurants.”

Ormer Mayfair will offer a quintessentially British dining experience, from the food through to the wines. The 85-cover restaurant is part of a £14m refurbishment of the historical boutique hotel that dates back to 1851.
