Slider Decider comes to Broadgate Circle

This year Slider Decider is moving from The Gun, Docklands to the City’s celebrated dining hub, Broadgate Circle.

From midday on Saturday 10 September 2016, professional chefs are invited to compete against one another to display their culinary creativity and make their very own signature sliders.

The Botanist bar and Long Arm Brewing Co. will be offering a selection of chilled drinks throughout, whilst live music will play on into the night.

The chefs will battle it out to impress the judges to become the ultimate Slider Decider champion, rotating on a number of slider stations selling their unique creations hot off the grills, throughout the event.

Just steps from Liverpool Street station, challengers will fight it out in the circle in front of food fans from across the capital and a stellar line-up of judges: Alexi Duggins, Editor at Large of Time Out; Jamie Klingler, Founder of National Burger Day and Publishing Manager of Shortlist’s Mr Hyde; and Mike Gibson, Assosicate Editor of Foodism.

Not only this, all guests attending will become judges themselves. Everyone will receive three ‘Champion Slider’ stickers to assign to their favourite sliders throughout the event. The chef with the most will be crowned the People’s Choice winner.

Who will be victorious and snatch the coveted Slider Decider crown from 2015’s winner Adam Rawson? Last year, the Pachamama champion cooked up the best slider in show with hisBeef 'Pan Con Chicharron'. The impressive creation included an aged beef patty, demi brioche bun, pork belly chicharron, aji amarillo mayonnaise, mature cheddar and avocado.

Deadline for applications is Thursday 11 August.
