Vivek Singh to open Cinnamon Bazaar next month

From the man behind one of London’s most iconic restaurants, The Cinnamon Club, Vivek Singh announces the opening of his latest restaurant, Cinnamon Bazaar in Covent Garden.

Officially opening on 1 December on Maiden Lane, diners can enjoy a sneak preview and take advantage of Cinnamon Bazaar’s soft opening offer of 50% off food on 28, 29 and 30 November.

The restaurant and bar takes inspiration from ancient and modern bazaars by offering Indian dishes with global flavours - from breakfast through to dinner - alongside innovative cocktails from mixologist extraordinaire, Ryan Chetiyawardana.

Bazaars have been a place for the exchange of ideas and influences for centuries as ingredients were traded from one bazaar to another and the dishes at Cinnamon Bazaar offer a cross-cultural dining experience - Chicken Haleem connects India with Iran; Millet, Date, Tamarind and Pomegranate salad pays homage to the markets of the Middle East; and Lahori Chicken Kahia connect Old Delhi to new Lahore, a popular trading route.

A unique Chaat Cart allows diners to customise their chaat, paying homage to one of the world’s oldest, most traditional street food snacks.

Cocktails are innovative and experimental with Ryan Chetiyawardana aka Mr Lyan, stimulating the senses with signature sips featuring the perfumed scents, flavours and colours associated with a typical bazaar.

Spread across two floors, with a 30-cover private dining room on the first, Cinnamon Bazaar is decked in bold colours such as majestic gold as well as vibrant blues and greens. Organic, natural materials reflective of historical India feature alongside colourful hand-painted graphics, stunning patterned tiles and illuminated hanging lanterns, transport you to the very heart of a bazaar.

Fragrant spices, aromatic herbs, heady perfumes, bold flavours, vibrant colours against a relaxed backdrop of chatter and laughter – welcome to Cinnamon Bazaar.
