Supercity Aparthotels to open 4th site this year with 5th in 2018

Serviced apartment company, Supercity Aparthotels is to open in Brighton and London’s Chancery Lane over the next two years.

The firm currently operates three London-based aparthotels: Templeton Place and Nevern Place in Earls Court, and The Rosebery in Clerkenwell.

Named The Chronicle, the Chancery Lane site will offer 53 apartments and is to open in late summer this year. The new venue, located on Furnival Street, will cover 35,000sq ft, over two floors, with a gastropub, offices and gym.

Alexis Burton, Managing Director, said, “We are currently buliding our next site. Acquiring such a prominent site with an interesting history is very exciting for us, the former Jewish Chronicle Building is a little piece of journalistic history in the middle of a booming business district.

'We are thrilled to be bringing a unique Aparthotel to Chancery Lane and introducing the many diverse businesses in the area to the benefits of staying in a Supercity Aparthotel.”

Set to open in 2018, the 26,372sq ft Brighton venue (pictured) will offer 65 apartments and will be situated on Queen Square, will offer a full service restaurant and gym.

Burton added, “We’re excited to open our first development outside of London and it was only right that it be in a UK city that is not only a leading cultural centre, but also recognised as one of the UK’s most diverse and liveable cities.”

The new sites will also offer complimentary wifi, housekeeping service, car and bicycle parking facilities.
