Kudos celebrates outstanding employees in annual awards

Award-winning contract and events caterer, Kudos, has held its annual awards event to celebrate their successes of the past year and to recognise the achievements of staff who excelled.

The awards took place at Gibson Hall in Bishopsgate with a three-course banquet created by Kudos’ Michelin-starred Food Director, David Cavalier, and head chef Richard Webb. The menu include a starter of marinated loch salmon and Brixham crab, a main course of Gressingham duck breast with red wine jus, and a vegetarian option of artichoke heart with wild mushroom puff pastry.

Managing Partner of Kudos, Jon Pryce, said, “This year’s awards event was a fantastic, well attended night which gave us the opportunity to celebrate our achievements and show staff our appreciation for their hard work. We also were able to recognise some exceptional performances from specific individuals in the organisation. This was a great end to what was a fabulous year for Kudos.'

The ‘K’ Awards consisted of six categories and the winners were chosen by a panel of KUDOS’ senior management team. The winners were as follows:

General Manager of the Year Simon Wilkinson (Harrogate International Centre)
Chef of the Year Phillip Johnson (Harrogate International Centre)
Sales Person of the Year Zuzana Girovska (Kudos Delivered)
Venue of the Year Brighton Centre
Employee of the Year Zsolt Almsay (Winchester Cathedral)
Support Person of the Year Richard Woodard (Crown Partnership - Procurement)

Simon Wilkinson, General Manager at Harrogate International Centre (HIC) said, “It was a great honour to be shortlisted for the General Manager of the Year award alongside some great Kudos managers, and it was an absolute shock and privilege to win this award. The award means a great deal to me but couldn’t be achieved without the help and support of my amazing team at the HIC.'

Philip Johnson, Head Chef at Harrogate International Centre, added, “It’s an honour to win Chef of the Year 2016 - it wouldn’t be possible on my own and I’m grateful to have a very supportive team behind me. I look forward to competing for Chef of the Year 2017!”
