Hampshire restaurant-bar with rooms changes hands

Next Door Restaurant & Rooms in Odiham, Hampshire has been sold, via Fleurets, off a guide price of £1,175,000 to Red Mist Leisure Ltd.

Next Door previously formed part of the George Hotel, however under Red Mist`s ownership, the property's name will be changing to The Red Lion.

Red Mist Leisure was created by friends Mark Williams and Mark Robson, who have developed a great reputation and loyal following for their portfolio of Hampshire and Surrey sites. The purchase of Next Door will mark their eighth acquisition.

Mark Robson of Red Mist said, “We are delighted to have acquired this great business from Rachel & James who have done a fantastic job here for years serving the local community. We intend to continue that personal service and quality that their customers expect.”

This Grade II-listed building comprises cafe/restaurant areas, catering kitchen, and cellarage, with the upper floors providing 6 quality en-suite rooms, large office and customer toilets.

Red Mist has previously purchased several listed sites and are accustomed to sympathetic refurbishment projects. They hope to breathe new life into this established business in the heart of this popular market town.

Kate Dowd of Fleurets brokered the sale and commented, “James and Rachel have worked hard over the years to create Next Door, but are very happy to hand over the baton to Red Mist Leisure, a company they both respect for their style of operation and quality of service.”
