Sainsbury's is to create 150 jobs at a new supermarket due to open in Cambridge this September. The supermarket will be part of the new North-West Cambridge development, where 500 people will soon take up residence.
Steve Venters, manager of the Coldham’s Lane Sainsbury’s supermarket, said, “We are really excited about having the opportunity to create something positive for the city. We will be creating 150 new jobs. It will become a vital part of the community.
Heather Topel, project director at the North West Cambridge development, said, “This is a hugely underserved area of the city. We have worked very hard to make sure it can come early for the people in the development. We want it to be a welcoming place for all.”
