Revamped Ramsbottom pub clinches further award

The Eagle and Child, Ramsbottom has scooped another award celebrating the quality of its food.

It has been named Best Dining Pub in North Manchester at the Eat Drink Sleep Awards, aka The Drinkies, which celebrate the best in hospitality in restaurants, dining pubs and hotels in Manchester.

Winners were announced at a Gala Dinner on Monday (March 6). The ceremony is held every two years, following public nominations and a public vote.

It is the latest in a long line of accolades for the Eagle and Child. It was awarded Best Food Pub in the Manchester Food and Drink Festival awards in both 2014 and 2016, listed in the Independent's top 50 Sunday Roasts in the UK and winner of Alastair Sawday's Pubs and Inns Guide 2014/15 Community Pub of the Year.

The pub reopens on March 23 following a substantial refurbishment with a new look bar, orangery and five new bedrooms.
