BAO Fitzrovia launches Mini BAO Set

The team at BAO have today announced they will launch a new limited edition ‘Mini BAO Set’ at their Fitzrovia restaurant from 12 noon on Monday 13 March.

The set will include miniature versions of all five of BAO Fitzrovia’s much-loved bao buns, as well as a mini-bottle of Coca Cola or cold brew tea.

The new five-BAO selection will include mini versions of the ‘Classic’ – slow braised pork, peanut powder, shredded coriander & fermented greens, as well as the Confit Pork, Cod Black and Daikon baos, and the brand new Beef Short Rib bao, made using slow cooked beef short rib, egg emulsion, crispy shallots & fermented cucumber.

Diners should get in there early, as BAO co-founder Erchen Chang and the kitchen team will create only 50 of the mini sets per week, released every Monday at 12 noon, and served each lunch service (12-3pm) throughout the week until they run out.

Along with the mini BAO sets, a whole variety of new dishes are also on the menu at BAO Fitzrovia. In keeping with BAO’s signature style to surprise and intrigue, new takes on a selection of traditional Taiwanese street food dishes, refined and presented in a way that’s rarely seen on the menus of London restaurants, are now available.

New menu highlights include Sha Cha squid steak, Cep broth with duck breast, Prawn tartare & raw potato and Cured Beef Ribcap with soy pickles.

The cocktail list has also been given a shake up, with founders Erchen, Shing and Wai Ting collectively creating a new list of cocktails inspired by their recent travels throughout Taiwan and mainland China. Expect to find drinks to rival the food in both taste and aesthetics, such as the new Soy Old Fashioned, Strawberry & tomato-infused Sake, and the Guava Calpico gin fizz.
